Terms & Conditions for Online Bookings and Sales.

 

It is important prior to registering the pet that you have read and understood all of the following terms and conditions expected by The Hound Hut Limited, to ensure the safety of our staff and guests. 


During registration you will be expected to confirm that you accept the following:

To keep The Hound Hut Limited a safe environment for your pet, all pets and owners must adhere to the following terms and conditions:

Grooming and Daycare/Walking Terms and Conditions

The followings terms and conditions refer to the use of our grooming and dog daycare, and dog walking service, and are to ensure the safety and liability of your pets whilst using said service:

1. By

a) registering on our online booking system Ascend managed by wix.com

b) enrolling a pet with The Hound Hut Limited

c) using our grooming and dog daycare/walking services

d) agreeing to a tour of our facilities, you confirm that you have read and agreed to the following terms and conditions, including the payment and cancellation policy.


2. Bookings are not confirmed until payment has been made. The Hound Hut Limited cannot be held responsible for keeping bookings open any longer than 24 hours without payment.

3. You are responsible for supplying a suitable secure fitted collar and lead for your pet's time with The Hound Hut Limited. Your pet must be put on said lead before entering our facilities and must remain so throughout the handover.

 

4. You must inform us of any aggressive behaviour your pet has shown towards people or other pets. Including incidents that may occur after any appointments or enrolment in daycare, you should contact us prior to future bookings to inform us of changes to your pet's behaviour and character. We cannot accept pets with extreme behavioural problems.

 

5. The Hound Hut Limited may terminate a service arrangement immediately if it is thought that your pet has behaved badly or aggressively towards people, other pets or property. You will be liable if your pet injures a third party or any The Hound Hut Limited staff. We also reserve the right to terminate or postpone your service if you fail to adhere to arrival policies and agreed timings.


6. By using The Hound Hut Limited, you acknowledge and understand that there are certain risks involved in grooming and participating in dog daycare/walking. Whilst The Hound Hut Limited will take all necessary precautionary measures to minimise any risk to a pet in our care, be that grooming, caring for, handling and being in the presence of other pets, incidents do and will occur from time to time, including but not limited to injuries to people, property and animals resulting from dog fights, dog bites to humans or other dogs and the transmission of disease. By signing these terms and conditions you agree The Hound Hut Limited are not liable for any such incidents.

 

7. If you need to drop off or collect your dog either before or after our opening hours an additional charge may apply and you will need to arrange this at least 48 hours in advance.

8. We cannot accept any un-neutered dogs or un-spayed bitches in daycare over 15 months old. If you think your bitch is coming into season and has a grooming/daycare appointment please inform us immediately. We reserve the right to cancel your dog’s grooming or daycare stay without notice should they be in season or unneutered without a refund.

 

9. An assessment is necessary for all dogs that wish to attend daycare services. All dogs that attend must be good-natured, unaggressive, sociable, and have a good level of basic training.


10. Before attending all dogs must be vaccinated against the following: Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo-virus, Parra influenza, Leptospirosis, Parasites and Infectious tracheobronchitis. Proof of current vaccinations may be requested prior to service starting, any customers providing false information will be liable for the spread of any diseases within a group of pets within the care of The Hound Hut Limited.

 

11. All pets must also be treated with a veterinary-approved topical flea and worm treatment, we may ask for proof of this & dates of application.


12. On your first visit or walk with The Hound Hut Limited we ask you to provide us with a copy of your pet’s vaccination records to your online profile on our booking software. We will also expect to know the details of your local veterinary surgery where your pet is registered. We reserve the right to request proof of vaccinations at any time.

 

13. If your pet becomes ill, we will make every effort to contact you or your nominated contact. However, if we are unable to contact you, or if the situation is deemed time-critical, your pet's interests will become paramount and we will take your pet to our registered veterinary surgery for treatment. Any treatment given will be at the discretion of the vet, and payment will be your responsibility.

 

14. Should any pet show aggressive tendencies to people or other pets in our care, or become uncontrollable, you or your nominated emergency contact will be informed by phone in order to rectify the problem immediately. We have a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to aggressive behaviour.


15. You accept that should we deem it necessary, staff may muzzle or crate your pet.

 

16. You agree to be responsible for any additional charges, including but not limited to, payment for damage caused, vet fees and any additional food required. These charges must be paid on the collection of your pet.

17. Photography: During your pet's stay they may be photographed, and these images may be used on The Hound Hut Limited’s website, social media outlets and printed literature.


18. All photos taken remain the property of The Hound Hut Limited.

 

19. You, the client, will indemnify The Hound Hut Limited against any claims for loss or injury caused to either, The Hound Hut Limited staff, The Hound Hut Limited’s property or other clients’ pets which are caused by your pet or as a result of a breach of these terms and conditions, negligence or otherwise.

 

20. You recognise the risks associated with The Hound Hut Limited transporting your pet to and from the property, to a vet or on any other walks or days out and you expressively relinquish any and all claims against representatives of The Hound Hut Limited.

21. We accept no responsibility for damaged or lost collars, harnesses or accessories.

Grooming and Daycare/Walking Payment and Cancellation Policy


1. All daycare and walking bookings must be paid for upfront through our website using either a single one-off payment or one of our block subscription bookings. All payments are non-refundable.


2. All Grooming services require a non-refundable deposit payment to secure the appointment time.

 

3. Bookings can only be cancelled or rescheduled up to two working days prior to your appointment (if your appointment is on a Monday, you must cancel or reschedule by Friday and for any Tuesday appointments this must be changed no later than the Saturday of the prior week). Customers will lose all monies paid to The Hound Hut Limited if they cancel or re-schedule their appointment within the two working day notice period outlined above.

4. Online payments are to be made via our third-party secure credit card company: Square via your online portal.

5. DAYCARE ONLY: If you collect your pet before the confirmed end date and time of their stay you will not receive a refund or partial refund.

 

6. SUBSCRIPTIONS ONLY: Subscriptions time period will be up to 1 year in length, subscriptions are redeemed for the services or payment plan outlined at the time of booking only and once purchased hold no monetary value. Should any service for which a subscription is used be suspended or no longer available The Hound Hut Limited's reserves the right to offer a store credit note. A credit note will be issued upon proof the subscriber is unable to use the remaining part of their subscription from the date of notification any service is suspended and the date of the suspension.
 

7. HOTEL WALKING ONLY: Guests must have their pets ready for their booked appointment time at the designated drop-off/collection area. If multiple dogs are booked on any one particular appointment session The Hound Hut representative will wait up to 5 minutes at the designated drop-off/collection area before leaving with the other pets booked on the appointment session, any customer who misses this allotted time will be treated as a no-show and cancelled without refund. Should a customer be the only person booked for a session The Hound Hut representative will wait 20 minutes for a customer before the appointment is deemed a no-show and cancelled without refund. Appointment times are fixed, should The Hound Hut representative leave 10 minutes late for a 1-hour walking appointment due to a customer's late arrival they will return within 50 minutes in order to ensure later appointments can be managed correctly. Any customers late for their allotted collection time will be subject to an additional surcharge of a 1-hour booking slot per pet outside of their pre-booked appointment time and their pet may be taken out on an additional walk and therefore not available until 1 hour later than their original collection time. Bookings can be made one calendar month in advance up to 24 hours prior to the reservation. This is to ensure timely notification to The Hound Hut Limited of the services required on any given day.

 

8. Due to the limited capacity of spaces for a service payments are non-refundable if cancelled or rescheduled within 48 hours of any pre-booked appointment.

 

9. The Hound Hut Limited is not subject to Distance Selling Regulations. By paying in full or a deposit you are confirming your booking and therefore entering a legal contract with The Hound Hut Limited subject to our Terms and Conditions.

 

The Hound Hut Limited’s Facility Terms and Conditions

 

The following terms and conditions refer to the use of The Hound Hut Limited facility which includes, but is not limited to the use of our shop, grooming salon, garden and daycare areas. They are to ensure the safety and liability of you and your pets whilst visiting said facility:

1. All pets must be put on a secure lead before exiting your vehicle or walking on the street, and/or before arriving at our facility and they must remain on lead for the duration of your visit. This includes pets within our garden.

 

2. Children under the age of 16 must be supervised at all times, and must not be solely responsible for their pet during your visit.

 

3. All pet mess must be cleaned up in the bins provided. In case of an emergency, poo bags can be bought from our point of sale areas. Failure to clean up after your pet in the public spaces will result in a cancellation of service.

 

4. Please keep noise to a minimum. This is a natural, peaceful environment and a residential area so please be considerate of our neighbours. Excessive barking or shouting will result in termination of service.

 

5. There is a strict no-smoking policy throughout the facility, including in the outdoor areas. Alcohol is also not allowed anywhere in this facility.

 

6. For the security and safety of our guests there is no trespassing in unauthorised areas of the site. Areas are clearly marked and signposted. Trespassing will result in a cancellation of service.

 

7. Please do not bring your pet if they are sick, have fleas (please check your pet before bringing them for their appointment), or have had recent surgery. Your pet will not be allowed in the facility if he/she is showing any signs of illness or infection such as coughing, skin infections, parasite infections, sickness, diarrhoea, or mucous discharge from the eyes, ears, or nose or genitalia.


8. For peace of mind CCTV is in operation throughout these facilities.
